These questions are done with the purpose of helping reader comprehension of the text. Reader can examine content of the text, examine their own thinking, etc
Closing Questions

Closing questions tie the text together, tying it to their real world experiences, establishing relevance and are usually abstract.
Opening Questions

Concrete questioning that usually requires more than a one word response. These questions are used to kick off the lesson and activate and engage the students.
