The marsh is a beautiful biome that is very important. One of the reasons it is very important is that it has so many unique plants and animals. Some of these animals include alligators, pelicans, beavers, minks, deer, turtles, and so many more. A few types of plants are cattails, the California bulrush, the alkali heath, and cordgrass. This incredible, fascinating biome is filled with amazing, vivid greens and blues, and we would never want something so stunning and spectacular to be destroyed. Because of the biome being polluted, many animals are becoming endangered. One example is the Everglade snail kite. Since the apple snails, the food they eat, are also dying because of pollution, these birds won't have enough to eat. The process will continue, because the Everglade kite snails' predators won't have enough to eat either. This biome must be protected from oil, or there will be nothing left in the marsh.
