        Nephrons- microscopic filtering units located in the kidneys (1 million/ kidney)
- - - - Tx- antibiotics, increase fluid intake
- - - - Rugae- mucous membranes in a series of folds; they disappear as the bladder fills with urine
      - Function is to store urine until its eliminated
      - Urge to void- occurs when the bladder contains approx 250 mL or 1 cup
      - Circular Sphincter- muscles that control the opening of the bladder to prevent it from emptying
