Some GMOs have been specifically modified to have less bruises or not catch a disease. This helps with waste because farmers sell more food and more of the food that the farmers sell is taken because of the less bruising.
STATISTIC: About six billion pounds of fruits and vegetables are wasted every year which is about 3000000 tons of produce.

Can help fight diseases.

STATISTIC: About 25,000 deaths annually worldwide are caused by dengue fever.

Many diseases such as the Zika virus,yellow fever,dengue fever,and malaria are carried by mosquitoes and can be spread to humans if the humans get bitten.

Bugs are becoming immune

Some GMOs that are suppose to keep bugs away are now being so widely used that the bugs that the GMOs were made against are now coming up with immunities to the GMO.

BENEFIT CLAIM: GMOs are beneficial to the environment because some GMOs have been made with pesticides built in so farmers don't have to use as much pesticides. And it helps get rid of waste which also helps the environment.

COUNTERCLAIM: Although your evidence is correct, the farmers will eventually have to buy much more pesticides as the insects adapt.
CONCERN CLAIM: GMOs can be bad for humans because it can make humans immune to antibiotics when they are really sick and they could cause allergies.
