- Factor V Leiden deficiency = activated protein C resistance

PREGNANCY
- 4 weeks into pregancy feamle becomes hypercoagulable
- Firbinogen + thrombin increase in pregnancy
- Protein C decreases
- Don't test until 8 weeks (puerperium ~6-8 wks)
- Need to check at this point as should have gone down by 8 wks
