Eclipse- happens when the moon's shadow hits Earth, or Earth's shadow hits the moon.
-when an object in space comes between the sun and a 3rd object.
Spring Tide- when sun & moon combine gravity (stronger, more difference)
2 times worth (new & full)
-Neap Tide- sun pulling at angle, during 1st & 3rd quarter, least difference/ 2 times a month.

Daytime- new moon blocks sun
umbra- darkest part of shadow
-cone shaped
people in umbra = total eclipse
corona- ring around the sun during total eclipse
Prenumbra- larger part of shadow, not as dark.
Lunar
Night- full moon; when Earth is between moon & sun
Also has umbra & penumbra
Visible everywhere (unlike solar)
