TALLAHAZINE FEST is a grassroots art book fair featuring handmade books and zines. Created by a group of art students from FSU, the aim is to provide an outlet for artists, book makers, and illustrators of all ages and skill levels to showcase and trade their work with other artists and the general public. This is a community event, but also seeks to draw outside talent into Tallahassee to promote growth within the artistic community, add to the local economy, and deepen cultural diversity.
MAKING ZINES: D.I.Y. SELF-PUBLISHING ON LITERALLY ANYTHING is a workshop that, although not explicitly about the environment or any particular social cause, is about a relevant artistic medium. The zine–a self-published booklet (often in small circulation)–embodies both art and literature, dismantles the idea that only established artists and writers may have their work published, and encourages expression of any subject (no matter how obscure). Initially, conducted in conjunction with the Tallahazine Fest, this workshop will be repeated in a separate event at The Plant.
THE PLANT is a community D.I.Y. creative space made up of local Tallahassee residents, creatives, musicians, writers, poets, activists, students, families, transient populations, traveling artists, gardeners, time-bankers, and more. The Plant is a not for profit venue operated by volunteers. Events held at The Plant are run on donations.
ENVIRONMENTALISM IN PAPERMAKING is a workshop that sought to teach participants the therapeutic process of D.I.Y. recycled papermaking, utilizing materials found in their own recycling bins, in their own back yards, and in their neighborhoods. By connecting paper–a material ubiquitous in human civilization–to its roots and exhibiting its natural origins, participants are encouraged to think on their relationship with the Earth and how they interact with it.
PATHFINDERS is a Tallahassee-based hiking group that seeks to connect Tallahasseeans with the land of the Southeastern United States and beyond. Includes hikes ranging from beginner level, locally, to advanced level, regionally and nationally.

TFP FEST is an annual art and craft festival hosted by The Fuzzy Pinapple, an art & apparel store located in Tallahassee that works with and promotes local businesses. PALM/etto Collective will be participating in the 2018 event, teaching festival-goers to make (pineapple-shapped) paper.
WAGING PEACE is a workshop series hosted at The Plant involving active engagement and energy expended toward peace. The intent is to challenge people to strive towards a balanced culture and environment through art actions: What does peace look like to our Tallahassee community?
CREATING P(IE/EA)CE is a workshop that aims attention at recycling and takes action to raise consciousness of the amount of waste we produce by experimenting with how trash might be used differently. Made in conjunction with the Waging Peace workshop series, this workshop focused on promoting more harmonious relationships with our environment through creating found object art installations made with recyclables.
