"Water" is a important biography for many students to know.
Facts

In "Zlata" there was a war. P 352; ---are being badly shelled. Everything is being destroyed.

In "Zlata" Zlata talks about "SHOOTING, SHELLING.." she is expressing her feelings about the war.

I couldn't find a direct quote from a story, but "Water" interested me. On P.381 Helen said, "I learned many great words that day. I do not remember what they all were; but I do know that mother, father, teacher, and sister were some of them."

In "Zlata" the first whole paragraph on P.356 was saying about how she hated the war. Here are some quotes, "I am witnessing a ugly disgusting war."

When Helen broke the glass, it really showed what our actions can cause. To us and to others.
"Water" and Helen are inspirational because it shows no matter how bad you are at anything that you shouldn't give up.
This influenced me because it told me how hard it is for people with disabilties.
"Water" showed how to be kind and patient through Annie.
