MIXTURE SEPARATION METHODS
MECHANICAL
there are eight types
Leaching
This method allows to separate mixtures of solid components with the same measurements and one of them is soluble in a liquid.
Filtration
Allows to separate solid fragments suspended in a liquid.
Decantation
With a special funnel, we can separate a mixture that has different densities.
Centrifuging and decantation
With the strength of the centrifugal machine speed, mixes can be separated according to their densities.
Sedimentation and decantation
This technique, which is based on the density of the mixture allows to separate the components. One of the components remains in suspension.jmi klñ´-
Flotation
You can separate mixtures of solids of similar sizes depending on their density.
Sieving
Allows to separate solid mixtures of different sizes with the help of a strainer or sieve.
Magnetic separation
It allows to separate solids of magnetic properties from the other components.
PHYSICAL
There are three types
Distillation
It allows to separate liquids that have different boiling points.
Chromatography
It allows to separate components according to the speed at which they absorb.
Vaporization
It allows to separate solid components that dissolve in a liquid.
