THE EUROPEAN CENTRAL BANK --> It manages the euro and frames and implements EU economic and monetary policy
THE EUROPEAN COUNCIL --> It sets the EU's general strategy and gives advice (members: leaders of the EU countries)
THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT --> It has got legislative, supervisory, and budgetary responsibilities. It passes laws, together with the Council of the EU, based on European Commission proposals; it supervises EU policies and establishes the EU budget. (members: 754 MEPs elected every 5 years by EU citizens)
THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION --> It promotes the general interest of the EU; it proposes laws and implements policies and the EU budget (members: a team of Commissioners, 1 from each EU country)
THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION
---> It is the voice of EU member governments. It adopts
EU laws and coordinates EU policies
(members: Government ministers from each EU country, according to the policy area to be discussed)
THE COURT OF JUSTICE
---> It makes sure that all EU countries respect EU laws and fundamental human rights.
