Steam Power was discovered and assisted in the industrial revolution.
Began in Great Britain, before eventually spreading around the world.
Started in 1760 and lasted until 1820-1840

William Blake
He believe his writings were of natural importance. They were very easy to understand by most people.
He lived and worked in a teeming metropolis. They helped him with his stories. He lived around the time of the American Revolution he worked to bring change and social order.
He also liked to paint and draw things.
Christopher Marlowe
He lived in a very violent and untrustworthy time where if you made one mistake it could cost you your life.
He was greatly influenced by William Shakespeare. He started as a poem translator. He wrote tons of poems.
The Poison Tree
A Poison Tree is a short and deceptively simple poem about repressing anger and the consequences of doing so. The speaker tells of how they fail to communicate their wrath to their foe and how this continues to grow until it develops into poisonous hatred
The Sick Rose.
The speaker, addressing a rose, informs it that it is sick. An “invisible” worm has stolen into its bed in a “howling storm” and under the cover of night. The “dark secret love” of this worm is destroying the rose’s life.
