Management Interview with Miguel Guillamon
I consider myself a quick learner; when I decided to make the transition from the world of 3D modelling and computer animation to web development I decided to go straight into a MSc degree in a UK university.
Up until recently I was often volunteering to overtake extra work and add on top of my already packed to do list. However, I realised that this is sometimes inefficient and only puts pressure on me. Not long ago I read a book called Deep Work by Cal Newport which made me realise that people have limited capacity and in order to be good at what you do you should know your limits. So since then I've really been practising on how to say NO to requests which won't have a significant impact on the business or on my personal development
I am not a keen on people who have negative attitudes, especially in the workplace. I try to remain as positive as I could especially when I am around people. This is very important especially in difficult situations as unnecessary negativity can terrible consequences
