        MLK's speech was the highlight of the march on Washington. It had such wisdom and power that the 300,000 people who attended could feel the hope.
        
        1963 March on Washington the biggest and greatest of all. The all great Martin Luther King known for having non violent protest, had given his speech "I have a Dream".
        
        1961 Freedom riders, a brave group of people(activist) who would ride buses into the segregated part of the south. It was all for the effort of integrating racially segregated parts of public facilities. Unfortunately they suffered consequences when their bus was set on fire.
        
        1960 Imagine not being able to go eat at the same restaurant as your friends because of the color of your skin. Well in 1960 restaurants were segregated. Certain counters and restaurants were only for whites. So with a non violent protest african americans would sit in the one seat that would forever change history.
      - This was a major protest in history. It was a protest campaign running against the racial segregation transit system. this was shortly after a brave woman named Rosa Parks stood up for herself.
