- - - - Araceli- Brittany, I think that promoting critical thinking in our classroom is one of the best ways. We should challenge our students to have their own decisions and to discuss the information that they are receiving. Doing activities were the have to compare and contrast or showing fake news are some of the things that we can include
        
        "A vital element in education is learning how to respond to other people's responses to the world" (Curriculum and Teaching, p. 98). Teaching students how to respond with so many comments on social media, looking at fake news, digital citizenship, and analyzing scams would all be included in this necessary skill. - - - - Macklin-Students are tech savvy but they don't know how to use these tools. According to Daley, students lack the basic skill to evaluate information they find. They are unable to know if something is true or not. It reminds me of people unable to see fake news. There is so much information out there that students are unable to figure out which information is good.
      - Jaclyn - Technical and Tactical applications as well as 'foundational literacies' skills are still vital in understanding the basis of technology. Without these foundations, technology would then just be a crutch for students and the knowledge would not exist.

    - - Brittany - What if you had a curriculum that integrated technology? Would this help students today and put less stress on the teacher to incorporate all of the new technology fads?
        
        Macklin- I agree with Brittany. There are so many tech tools so having a curriculum that intergrates and uses tech in a way that enhances learning instead of being flashy would be good for the teacher and the students.
        
        Chelsey- I like the idea Brittany presented as well. If it is integrated right into the curriculum, it can become part of the student routine. Through modeling use of the technology I feel students and teachers would find things would run more smoothly.
- - - - Bo---In China, some parents think that their kids could have a comfortable life without having to work hard at school because they already accumulated a lot of possessions for them. I find it so wrong, but do not know how to talk them out of this opinion. Of course, most parents still want their kids to work hard at school.
  - - - I spent the day talking about personalized learning and how to use it in the classroom. Technology has to be used to enhance curriculum, not as a substitute for quality instruction. Charla
    - - Aly - I completely agree that it takes a lot of time to teach students how to use technology. I have spent several classes trying to teach one tool and it just seems to be a waste of time. I wish there was more technology out there that is easy to teach students and help them learn.
- - - - ZIQI-I share the same sentence; I realized that young child picks up adults attitude amazingly quick. And they will try to simulate the same action or the same position.
    - - Brittany - In society, there may be rules that we believe are understood by everyone, however, different cultures have different "rules" that they live by. In our classrooms, we need to be as explicit as possible so that every students has the opportunity to follow the rules and understand what is right and wrong.
        
        Jiayi- I agree! The society is complicated and changing all the time. A helpful curriculum need to help learners identify the change and let them be able to abapt the change.

        So true. How can we create conversations in our classes to address this.
- - - - Bo---Teachers have the challenge about how to guide students through proper instruction so that they could engage in class interactions. To overcome this challenge, teachers have to understand their students' thinking, cultural backgrounds, academic achievements, etc. So that they could provide instruction that students feel related to and thus eager to participate.
        
        Bo---It is also an opportunity for teachers and students to work together in classroom participation. Teachers could provide meaningful and engaged instruction for students, students, in return, participate in classroom activities by developing their own understanding, internalizing what they have learnt, and finally apply what they learnt in new context. Thus, it is a challenge as well as an opportunity for realizing transformative curriculum experiences.
