China World Geo Wrap-up
Push Factors
War: War was a push factor because China was constantly in war with other country and some people don't like war so they just left to move to a different country.
Slavery: Slavery was a big push factor in China because some of the kids and women had to work in brickyards with no pay and know body really wants to work all day with no pay.
(modern day) Overpopulation: Overpopulation could be a push factor because if there are to many people in one place, that could lead to traffic and less job opportunity's for the public to get.
-
(modern day) Pollution: This is a push factor today because since there are some many factory's in China that are producing harmful gases and that has made the air in some parts of China very bad to the point were you need to wear a gas mask.
Big Idea
One thing that we can learn from Ancient China is to make friends with your enemies because you do not want to go to war with other countries because you just end up losing a lot of your army and ancient China was constantly in war with other countries.
One thing that we can learn from China is to use what you have around you to make different things because in China they did not have the technology to make medicines so they mixed plants to make their medicines.
One thing that we can learn from Ancient China's mistakes is not to go out in the wild and just eat different plants to find medicine without making sure that the plant you eat is poisonous because that happened to someone when he poisoned himself 72 times before a tea leaf fell in his mouth and cured him.
-
One thing that we can learn from Ancient China is to always be ready for war because Ancient China was always training troops and warriors to be ready at all times because you could just start war with a different country at any time of the day.
Pull Factors
Tea: Tea was a pull factor because back then Tea was only in China so if people wanted to get Tea they would have to go to China to get it also it was more expensive in other countries because it had to be shipped and in China it did not have to be shipped across seas.
(modern day) Great Wall of China: The Great Wall of China was a pull factor because many people wanted to see it and maybe want to try to walk across a part of it and if they wanted to do that, they had to go to China,
Rice: Rice was a pull factor because many people back then liked rice and it was expensive in other country because it had to be shipped there and in China is was cheaper because it was grown there and did not have to be shipped across seas.
-
Great Wall of China: This was another pull factor because some people might have thought that it gave China a lot of protection from other countries and they would move there to be safe.
Connections
Tea: I can connect Tea to today because you can buy Tea every where and you can also buy it in more flavors than countries in the whole world.
Slavery: I can connect slavery from ancient China to the U.S. about 100 years ago and today because in both places and times people were being forced to work with no pay and sometimes no food to.
Great Wall of China: I can connect the Great Wall of China to the movie called The Great Wall because the movie is about other countries trying to attack China and they need to get through The Great Wall of China.
-
War: I can connect war from ancient China to modern day because a lot of countries in the world are going though war and America might star a war with North Korea.
Fireworks: I can connect fireworks from Ancient China to today because back then they shot off fireworks to scare the evil spirits away and today we shoot off fireworks on the 4th of July to remember the day America became free.
