Daughter of Zeus and the goddess of War and Wisdom, she aids Telemachus and Odysseus throughout their journey.
Helios(Noun)
God of the sun and arrives to tell Odysseus the one rule of their island of refuge, do not eat the cattle.
Poseidon(Noun)
Divine antagonist of Odysseus who is angry at him for blinding his son and constantly tampers with his journey home. God of the Sea.
Hermes(Noun)
The messenger of the gods and gave Odysseus the magical herb Holy and also convinced Calypso to let him off her island.
Circe(Noun)
A beautiful witch-goddess who transforms Odysseus's crew into pigs and after Hermes helps them de-transform Odysseus becomes her lover. He lives by her side in luxury for a year before setting sail again.
Sirens(Noun)
Large monsters that have the body of a bird and the head of a woman. Known during even current times as monsters that would lure people to their deaths with their song. Odysseus wanted to hear them for himself so they tied him to the mast and put wax in their ears.
Scylla(Noun)
Scylla is a six headed monster and when Odysseus's crew passes the straight between her and Charybdis she eats one sailor for each head.
Charybdis(Noun)
After passing the siren's island they are met with two monsters, Scylla and Charybdis. Charybdis threatens to tear the entire ship apart for they are a giant whirlpool that swallows the sea. They instead sail closer to Scylla to have a better chance a at surviving.
Polyphemus(Noun)
Cyclops and child of Poseidon and has Odysseus land on his island. He imprisons him and his crew inside of him cave and they escape on the underbelly of his sheep. He is then stabbed in the eye, angering Poseidon.

Telemachus(noun)
Son of Odysseus, an infant when Odysseus leaves for troy and sets off on a journey to find him when Athena informs him that he is still alive.
Penelope(Noun)
Wife of odysseus, pursued by suitors while her husband is on his journey back home to her, Odysseus's goal.
Laertes(Noun)
Odysseus's father who lives on a farm in Ithaca and regains his spirit when his son returns and kills Antinous's father.
Antinous(Noun)
The most arrogant of Penelope's suitors and leads the campaign to have Telemachus killed and he is unsuccessful and is the first one to die when Odysseus came back to Ithaca.
