Looking for a South African musical talent. 15 SA Award winning artists (solo or group) get to chose 15 up-and -coming unsigned artists with star-quality potential
The 15 A listers will be promoting the show on social media and promo to punt the show. They would be the key to promote and drive interest to our online social media platforms i.e FB, Insta, Twitter, Website, the channels platforms etc.
Each A lister will recruit their own protege to mentor
Up and comers will post their video's submissions the call to action by A listers
Viewers online will be the judges that narrow it down to 30 contenders
This will be narrowed down to 30 contenders - and then our A listers will each chose 1 who will then make it into the show
Contenders flown to JHB to present themselves to the A listers. Its all under cover and they have to partake in the next round which is called the Line Up
IN the line-up the artists have to perform - they can present themselves in any way. has to be raw to keep it fair. No bells and whistles. Plug in and play. We provide the basic technical to keep it fair.
During this phase there is great content where the A listers discuss artists, compete to get the artist maybe

A listers to draw straws on who get to choose his artist first
The last one only has 15 to chose from. This creates excitement and suspense as you might find 1 or 2 A listers are routing for the same contender. So its a first come-first serve basis throughluck
The A Listers choice are not revealed to the contenders. They will only meet their A lister once chosen and there is a big reveal.
Contenders are split up into two groups - eliminated group that immediately get dismissed and the group that carries on.
Contenders go home. Crew goes to the contenders home, college, wherever to surprise them and reveal their a lister and who is mentoring them. Great storyline for backstories etc. Can even rope family and friends to mention some points. The A lister does not need to be present and can be revealed via Skype. A lister watches a showreel clip compiled on the contender. based on this he choses a producer.
If the budget is limited they stay IN JHB and the next day their A lister is revealed to them
Flown up to our state of the art studio. A-lister and producer waiting in studio. The goal is for this artist to walk away with a state-of the art demo - The A-lister may even feature on the track if they wish to. Not a compulsory. In studio the content will be tense, some tears, some anxiety, some fights, some joy etc.
THE ULTIMATE 1 CHANCE WINNER
After the concert there will be live public voting. Concert size depends on the budget. Be creative with the voting process. The 1 Chance winner and A lister revealed in Finale
All 15 artists get to perform their songs at a live venue. Judges are from music industry and not affiliated to the a listers. They then narrow it down to 7 contenders. They then get to go back into studio to record a second song.
They will then get to perform both songs at the 1 Chance concert. PR will happen around the Top 7..red carpet events, make-overs,
Songs avail as downloads. Music video on all music channels etc. Win a music video which the making of is shown in the final episode. Prizes dependant on sponsors. Record deal, Flights with Comair. EPK can be shown run for 3 months on 1 Magic. Digital deal with the like of Africori. CSA year contract
The 15 artists are put through their paces via various tasks such as searching for locations for industry meetings, dance lessons, collecting info for a gig from a booking agent etc... which will all be designed to challenge the artist and provide great content.
