Cell Division
Meiosis
Meiosis is strictly for creating sex cells (Gametes), for females it is eggs and for males it is sperm.
Every single time a cell does Meiosis the daughter cells will have varied DNA, because during the process the chromosomes will get mix and matched.
Cells created in the process of Meiosis or the daughter cells will have only half the DNA of the regular cell. This means they are Haploid cells.
-
Mitosis
Mitosis creates only Body Cells, not sex cells
Every single time a cell does mitosis the Daughter cells will have identical DNA to the parent cell.
Cells created in the process of Mitosis or Daughter cells, will have a full set of DNA. This means they are Diploid cells
