Rule
Terms, substitute the things in enunciation. This substitution is called suppositio. But the thing it substitutes must exist. “Plato was an Aristocrat” Plato is substituted by the term “Plato” because Plato “was” in the past. But “Plato is an Aristocrat” here “Plato” is not a supposition, b/c Plato doesn’t exist now

A-E: Contradictory- One proposition is universally true, but the contrary is necessarily false
I-O: Sub contradictory- one particular proposition is false, and the sub-contrary is true.
A-O, E-I: Direct-Contradictory- one of the two is necessarily true and other false
