Masculine and Feminine Cultures
In the masculine culture, men are valued for their assertiveness, material success, and strength.
Also they are more likely to emphasize win-lose conflict strategies.
In feminine culture, they value modesty, concern for relationships and quality of life, and tenderness.
Feminine culture are more likely to use compromise and negation in resolving conflicts.
High- and Low-Context Cultures
High-Context cultures place a great deal of emphasis on the information that is in the context or in the person
Low-Context cultures place more information that is stated in verbal messages, or formal transaction, is written for.
Indulgence and Restraint Cultures
In indulgence cultures, they emphasize that gratifications of desires; they focus on having fun and enjoying life.
In restraint cultures, it has more people who are unhappy with little or no time to engage in fun activities.
Individualists and Collectivist Cultures
In an individualist culture, you take care of yourself and perhaps your immediate family. Also, competition is promoted.
In a collectivists culture, you're responsible for the entire group. Also, cooperation is promoted.
High- and Low-Power-Distance Cultures
High-Power-Distance culture is power that is concentrated in the hands of a few
Low=Power-Distance cultures, is evenly distributed throughout the citizenry.
High- and Low-Ambiguity-Tolerant Cultures
High-Ambiguity-Tolerant cultures never feel threatened by unknown situations.
Low-Ambiguity-Tolerant cultures do much to avoid uncertainty and have a great deal of anxiety about not knowing what's going to happen next.
Long- and Short-Term Orientation Cultures
Long-Term-Orientation culture is an orientation that promotes the importance of future rewards.
Short-Term-Orientation looks more to the past and present.
