Purpose
To investigate :
The preffered minimum level of segregation for Halal meat in supermarket, transport, storage, and terminals
the responsibility of Halal logistics
the willingness to pay for Halal logistics in a Muslim and non-Muslim country
Hypothesis
There is a prefference for a higher minimum level of segregation in a Muslim country
There is a difference in the willingness to pay more for H-meat that uses a
H-logistics system for a Muslim and non-Muslim country.
The manufacturer and retailer have a different perceived responsibility for
H-logistics.

A Muslim country requires a higher level of segregation
as compared to a non-Muslim country
A Muslim country has a higher willigness to pay for a Halal logistics system than a non-Muslim country
The manufacturer has a heavy responsibility to extend Halal assurance toward SCM
Future Research
Need similar surveys in ither countries in order to be able to generalize over the various Islamic school of thought, local fatwas, and local customs
