The coronation and popularity of Elizabeth

: Elizabeth traveled from Whitehall to the tower in a ceremonial barge along the Thames
In the following days she undertook a triumphal coronation procession through the streets of central London
During the procession, pageants performed and played instruments
The coronation took place at
Westminister Abbey
on
15th January 1559
Crowned by
Owen Oglethorpe, who was the Catholic Bishop of Carlisle
Elizabeth was dressed in her
full state regalia which included the sceptre and the orb
Elizabeth recieved good education
Could speak Greek, Latin, French and Italian.
She loved dancing, riding and music
Well read and enjoyed literature
