Natural disaster - storms, droughts and tsunamis could be devastating to a countries development influencing money transitions and recourse usage.

Collaborative work - could be very beneficial for a countries leaders.
Conflict - if war breaks all government attention will be devoted to military combat expenses.
Poor government - a poor government cant provide for an entire country leaving many out of business, hungry and poor.
