Hospitalisation and Medical Leave
Definition
time off from work to recuperate, still get pay
Eligibility
Informed employer within 48 hours of absence
Medical Certificate certified by company doctor
Served at least 3 months
Entitlement
Employees who served at least 6 months
60 days
45 days inpatient hospitalisation
14 days outpatient non-hospitalisation
Employees who served at least 3 months
Pro-Rated
Starts from 15 days, increases by 15 days each month until 6th month
Special Situations
Sick leave falls on rest day, non-working day, annual leave, holiday
Not entitled
Sick leave falls on half working day
Still considered full day sick leave
Sick leave while on resignation notice
Entitled to sick leave
Employee runs out of sick leave
Go on agreed no-pay leave
Check if medically certified sick
Medical certificate not from company doctor
Can be excused from work
Employee unfit to work
