Employees entitled to 6 days of childcare leave a year can have childcare leave pro-rated according to how long they have worked

New hire (worked less than 1 yr): Entitled to 6 days of
childcare leave per year, subject to a minimum of 2 days

Basic Criteria
The employee has worked for the employer, or
has been self-employed for a minimum of
3 consecutive months.

What is Childcare Leave?
Childcare leave lets working parents care for and spend time with their children. This applies to employees with children under 7 years old.
Extended childcare leave is eligible for those with children aged 7 to 12 years.
