Goal

To spread awareness on safe migration through capacity building and networking to areas on both sides of the border in order to decrease women and young people’s vulnerability to negative migration outcomes such as labour exploitation and trafficking.

Objective

1.Increase cross-border protection for migrants

  1. Promote fair recruitment and employment practices
  1. Strengthen capacity among duty bearers and civil society actors in managing labour migration

Expected results

  1. Migrants and potential migrants have increased exposure to safe migration information
  1. Increased uptake of safe migration interventions
  1. Increased awareness of ethical recruitment practices
  1. Increased public awareness of migrants’ rights

Activities

  1. Networking meetings and cross visits
  1. Outreach and campaign activities provided including activities at drop-in centre
  1. Training of trainers for women and youth and various other potential migrant groups
  1. Case management is provided to migrant who pursue formal redress systems
  1. Multi-stakeholder workshops annually
  1. Public advocacy events with evidence-based information and Qualitative research
