Good Monarchs
Edward I and Henry VIII realized they needed parliament to help manage laws better so they co operated well to rule even if it meant compromising their power.
Bad Monarchs
Edward II had no interest in defending his kingdom, and splurged on actors and singers as entertainment. He also gifted large amounts of lands, money, and titles to his boyfriend. This mismanagement and abuse of power led to their deaths by the enemy.
Ludwig II ruled from 1864 till his death in 1886 and nearly bankrupted his kingdom with his power abuse. He was constantly wasting money on unnecessary castles and other excessively expensive impracticalities.
The money came from family funds not the state, so he was not dooming everyone, although he was still a sloppy ruler.
Action was taken against him to disable his power, which required falsely stating he was mentally ill, in order to reduce his power.
