Islam Abortion
-
-
"And do not kill your children... We provide for them and for you. Indeed, their killing is ever a great sin"
-
-
The foetus gets it's soul at 120 days, this is called ensoulment
-
Abortion can be allowed within the first 120 days if the baby would be born with a serious defect or the life of the mother would be in danger

Christian Animal Rights
-
-
Teaches that animals should be treated kindly, but can be used for the benefit of mankind as long as their suffering is considered
-
Some believe the sanctity of life principle only applies to humans, not animals as only humans were created in God's image
-
Some would say that suffering of animals is wrong in order to increase scientific knowledge as medicines may not affect humans in the same way as they do to animals
-
There are no food laws in Christianity and the Bible talks about eating meat so Christians may believe it's fine
Euthanasia
-
-
-
-
Passive euthanasia is where life prolonging medicine or treatment may be refused by the patient. A life support machine may be turned off if there is no hope of recovery
-
-
Some people believe the legalisation of euthanasia would lead to people feeling pressured into doing it
Situational ethics come into play, what would be the best in each individual case, not a law that applies to every case
The Afterlife
-
The paranormal may be used to support life after death, such as mediums being able to talk to spirits
There are claims of evidence of reincarnation, some young children claim to remember past lives
Some people say they've had near death or out of body experiences where they talked to dead family members
Some see going to heaven or paradise is a reward for people who've been good all their lives, which compensates for all the unfairness of earth
-
There is no concrete evidence of it, so logically it doesn't exist
-
Some may argue it is used by religions as a way pressuring people to follow their rules and ways of life
Christian Euthanasia
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
Many believe they should care for the sick, and make them feel valued until the end of life
Islam Euthanasia
-
Allah has a plan for every person and decides on how long each person will live, euthanasia interferes with that plan
-
-
-
They often try to look after the ill at home so they are under the care of friends, family and neighbours
-
-
-
Abortion
In England, Scotland and Wales it can only take place before the 24th week of pregnancy
-
-
-
Some babies that are born at 24 weeks or less prematurely make be able to survive so people believe that the time limit should be shortened
-
Situation ethics, the circumstances should be taken into account when making a decision, not have a law that applies to all cases
-
-
Islam Animal Rights
Animals are one of Allah's creations so Muslims are entrusted to look after them as they are Khalifah
-

Christian Abortion
-
-
-
-
Many say women should be allowed to choose, and they should show Christian compassion towards the mother whether they agree or not
The Bible doesn't mention abortion but connects life with breath, so this could mean that life only begins when the foetus can breathe independently
