ECPAT (EF)-Goal,objectives, expected results
Goal:Promote safe labour migration in order to protect the rights of migrants, particularly the new wave of Myanmar migrants from the border camps (particularly children) and reduce their vulnerability to labour exploitation and human trafficking
Objective 1
1.Migrant youth and children are aware of the possible risks present at their destination and know how and where to seek assistance. Relevant stakeholders and duty bearers have increased understanding and knowledge of the risks and harms that children face may during migration.
Expected Result 1. 100 Youth from migrant communities have an increased understanding of child and migrant rights, risk and harm of SEC, trafficking, and are aware of the services available for seeking assistance. Youth see the importance of and have increased participation in promoting community action to prevent exploitation.
Expected result 2. 100 Youth have increased understanding, receive financial and technical support, and have created plans for activities to disseminate knowledge to other children and raise awareness about harm of SEC, human trafficking, and safe migration
Expected result 3. 100 Youth leaders have developed leadership potential, and are supported and encouraged through monthly follow up activities to implement their own initiatives and take on leadership roles to disseminate information to their peers

Expect result 5. 280 youth leaders among migrant communities (Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai) have increased understanding of child rights, SEC, HT, and safe migration, and have increased participation and leadership skills
Expect result 6. 150 youth are trained in providing basic counselling to children who are at risk or victim of sexual exploitation, have increased capacity and are more likely to report sexual exploitation when necessary
Expected result 7.Two study trips are conducted, resulting in 40 youth and child leaders who are better prepared for future employment in both Thailand and Myanmar and have an increased understanding of SEC, and safe migration
Expected result 8. 4000 people in migrant communities have received print materials (stickers/info graphic print-outs), and 1000 people have received an illustrated book, and have an increased awareness on the topics of child rights, safe migration, and how to protect oneself from HT and SEC
Expect result 9. 10,000 people have accessed online content (short video clips, spot advertising, memes and online newsletters) and have an increased awareness on the topics of child rights, safe migration, and how to protect oneself from HT and SEC
Objective 2. Employers have increased understanding of relevant legislations related to recruitment and employment practices, an increased understanding of child rights, and principles of business and human rights, particularly as they pertain to children.
Expect result 1.There is collective work among 30 stakeholders to promote child rights and business practices
Expected result 2. 100 business owners have increased awareness of the plight of migrants, especially children, and how they can play a role in protecting migrant rights whilst also promoting their brand
Expected result 3. 100 stakeholders from GO, NGO, and the private sector have increased knowledge and joint collaboration to promote ethical business to prevent SEC and Child trafficking
Expected result 4. 25 representatives from 8 private sector organizations received strong support on how to develop the action plan to minimize negative impacts on children
Objective 3. Government officials (including police) and development partners have better understanding and knowledge of migration issues
Expected result 1. Relationship among 30 representatives from different GOs and CSOs agencies at the provincial and national level strengthened to provide appropriate child services and child protection to vulnerable children
Expected result 2. 200 government and NGO workers understand the principles of a child rights approach and the difference between trafficked children and children on the move, and are able to use this information in their work going forwards
Expected result 3. 70 staff from Diakonia's partner NGOs receive training on Child Protection, understand the importance of having a Child Protection Policy, and have been provided with the tools to implement the policy within their organization
Expected result 4. 10 of Diakonia’s Partners received support, are able to develop or revise their child protection policies using a child rights centred approach and train their staffs on how to use the policy
