o Spindle shaped fibers with a single central nucleus
o Found in the walls of organs.
Cardiac Muscle:

Involuntary
Branched cells with single central nucleus, cells joined together by intercalated disks.
Definition: - Nervous tissue contains nerve cells called neurons present in the brain and spinal cord.

Each neuron has 3 parts:
o Cell body: Contains the nucleus and most of the cytoplasm.
o Dendrites: Processes that conduct signals towards the cell body.
o Axon: Process that conducts nerve impulses away from the cell body.
