Reflection: This result does not surprise me. In my experience, student to content interaction was one of the interactions that was equally important across all course types and course of study. With that said, a stronger SC IT should provide some achievement advantages because a lot of outside factors that could hinder the affect of a stronger IT are removed. SC IT, in my opinion, appears to be the one interaction that is not reliant upon someone else (e.g. instructor or another student). Instead, SC IT relies more heavily on the student's motivation to connect with the content. Needless to say, there is still some weight on the instructor to provide the effective content that will intrigue and motivate the student. It's just interesting to see that content is the one area an instructor can make a huge impact on achievement, and yet it is often not the focus in an educational system that is focused more on collaboration among students and instructors ability to support student needs.
