Reflection: In the past, I was always hesitant about DE courses. Most of my bachelor's classes were face-to-face, and I didn't even give a DE course a try until several years into my education. I was always worried about finding the motivation to engage with class. I worried that if I didn't go to a class, see the instructor and engage with the environment, then I would likely be unable to find the motivation to be successful in the class. Strangely enough, I've taken many more DE courses in recent years, long after bachelor's, and found that I tend to be a little more successful with them than F2F classes. That might be more because I am older now and more willing to find the time and motivation on my own, but it could also be that the freedom of time and need to self-motivate that happen with DE actually work for me.
