Conclusion - Though there are views about existence of Modi Doctrine, but never been any single doctrine like statement. Unlike Nehru, Modi never articulated a set of principles which can be considered as guiding principles. It is Indian intelligentsia and media which is keen to use the phrase. Foreign policies are based on long term goals and national interests do not change fast.

Doctrine is a stated set of principles of govt's policy mainly in military or foreign affairs. In recent years, doctrines remain loosely defined. Doctrines may not be controlling the entirety of a State's FP.
