Letter of Complaint
Should include
Details of purchased, item/service purchased, name of seller, price and date of purchase

Details of action required: replacement, repairs, refund
Copies of proof of purchase: receipt credit card slip, etc

Credit note
A credit note is given by the seller to the buyer to show that the amount owing or paid has been reduced
A credit note does not has to be accepted if the goods purchased were faulty, because the consumer is entitled to a replacement or a cash refund
