Poly(ethene)- it is flexible, a good electrical insulator and its inexpensive. It is used in plastic bags, bottles and as a wire insulator.
Poly(propene)- it is flexible, strong, tough and mouldable. It is used for creates, furniture and ropes.
Poly(chloroethene) (PVC)- it is tough and inexpensive. It is used for window frames and water pipes.
Poly(tetrafluoruoethene) (PTFE)- it is unreactive, tough and non stick. It is used for non stick pans and waterproof clothing.
