        After many years Thomas Jefferson had a lot of presidency experience and in 1796 he ran for president but lost to John Adams and became vice president.
        
        In 1800 he ran again against John Adams and there was a tie but it was then voted by the House of Representatives for Thomas Jefferson to be president.
