Big Idea: One big idea is, that African is very well known for it's big trade routes, and the big things that they trade. African trade many things, like spices, such as pepper , or salt, salt was very valuable back then, because it could save your food, and keep your food better, longer. That is the reason that people know about Africa, because the salt in Africa is equal to gold, which can be a very good trade. Another thing that they trade, is rubies, or boiled candies, yes, you are thinking, candy? Yes, back in Ancient Africa, they had boiled candy, just like regular candy, but boiled, and rubies, rubies were also very valuable, like gold, those were pretty equal. The last thing that they traded were smelling good things like perfume, and incense, many people would like to trade that, to keep things smelling good, and also to keep the air smelling good.
