Hospitalisation leave
Definition
can be issued by approved clinics and hospital, and employees do not need to be physically staying in the hospital to be given the Hospitalisation Leave.

Employment act
Duration of service completed: 3 to < 4months
< 15 days
< 5 days (non-hospitalisation leave) plus number of days hospitalised
Duration of service completed: 4 to < 5 months
< 30 days
< 8 days (non-hospitalisation leave) plus number of days hospitalised
Duration of service completed: 5 to < 6 months
< 45 days
< 11 days (non-hospitalisation leave) plus number of days hospitalised
Duration of service completed: = or > 6 months
< 60 days
< 14 (non-hospitalisation leave) days plus number of days hospitalised
Eligibility
They are covered under Employment Act
Served the employer for at least 3 months
Have informed or tried to inform the employer within 48 hours of your absence
Employees’ sick leave is certified by the company’s doctor, company approved doctor or a government doctor (including doctors and dentists from approved public medical institutions)
Medical leave
Entitlement
14 days for outpatient non-hospitalisation leave
60 days for hospitalisation leave
The 60 days of hospitalisation leave includes the 14 days outpatient sick leave entitlement.

Eligibility

Served the employer for at least 3 months

Sick leave entitlements may be affected in different situations
During non-working days, holidays and annual leave
During a half-working day
While serving notice
MCs from private or overseas doctor
If the employee run out of sick leave
If the employee is unfit to work
