Common fate
A group of objects moving in the same direction at the same speed are perceived as part of the same stimulus, but if two such groups cross each other's paths they are perceived as two separate groups. An excellent example of this would be a viewing a flock of birds from a distance
Good form
The tendency to group together forms of similar shape, pattern, color etc. Even in situations where the forms overlap, the human brain interprets the objects as individual items
