        Disadvantages: 1) Dependent on very clear prompt or guidelines from teacher. 2) Each assessment will be slightly different so the grading process is more challenging for the teacher
        
        Examples in PE: 1) Game Play or Modified Game Play Evaluation 2) Student Journals on reactions to different fitness activities 3) Writing a critique of a peer group's dance performance 4) Event tasks such as game creation

        Disadvantages: 1) It's sometimes difficult to determine the flaws/errors of your own work. 2) Students may evaluate themselves too highly 3) How serious does each student take the assessment?
        
        Examples in PE: 1) Exit slip evaluating your level of effort and engagement in class 2) Checklist evaluating your ability to perform a variety of skills 3) A conversation with the teacher where you assess your strengths and weaknesses of a particular skill
