QR code = Quick Response Cose
how it works
It bounces a narrow beam of light onto the code which can be interpreted using a pattern of light reflected of the white gaps between lines.
They are digitally scanned.
They are read by a smart phone image sensor.
The code is converted into binary and checked for errors before being displayed.

Touchscreens
• Touchscreens are now a very common form of input device.
• They allow simple touch to launch an application or to carry out many of the functions of pointing devices such as a mouse.
• One of the main uses of touchscreen is in mobile phones. At present, there are three major types of touchscreen technologies applied to mobile phone or tablet screens:
Capacitive
Infra-red
Resistive
Digital Cameras
Stores pictures in electronic memory instead of film
use an array of photo sensors to record the incoming pattern of light. Each sensor returns an electrical current when it’s struck by the incoming light.
Because the amount of current that’s returned varies with the amount of light, your digital camera’s electronic innards can combine the different current levels into an image in the form of a binary file.
use an image sensor instead of photographic film
has a microprocessor which can:
adjust the shutter speed
focus the image automatically
operate the flash automatically
adjust image size
remove 'red eye'
