GAMIFICATION

Gamification was defined in 2012 by Werbach and Hunter as the use of game elements and game-design techniques in non-games contexts. It fosters enjoyment, flow, motivation, engagement, problem solving and learning.

We have to use ICT in our lessons as it is one of the stage objectives for the primary education stablished by:
• RD 126/2014 of 28th February in its article 7
• Organic Law of Education 2/2006 of 3rd May in its Article 17
2006 Recommendation of European parliament estates that the Digital Competence is a key competence for lifelong learning.
Article 2 of the RD 126/2014 28th February, establishes that one of the competences of the curriculum is the Digital Competence.
It is contemplated in our current legislation.

• Organic law for the improvement of quality of education 8/2013, December 9th
• As English teachers we have to promote: Equity, Social cohesion and Active citizenship, as the European Strategic Objective number 3 of Education and Training 2020 recommends.
• The D 108/2014 of 4th of July of the VG stablishes in its article 2 that schools have to promote cooperative learning methodologies.
