House of Representatives compared to 90210 Charectors
Lobbyists and Senate:
Harry Wilson
- Harry Wilson is the principal of West Bev and the father to Annie and Dixon. He influences and advises Annie and Dixon in certain situations. Harry Wilson holds meetings with the heads of the school often.
Filibuster: Ryan Matthews
is an English teacher at West Bev. He is a great teacher but he talks too much, The class never gets to take a test because his talking takes up too much time.
Legislative Assistant:
Kelly Taylor -
Works for principal Willson, helping his with making rules for school and decisions
Joint Committee:
Annie Wilson
- She belongs to two different friend groups.
By the fourth season, she brings the two groups together
for a meeting.
House Committee on Ethics:
Navid Shirazi
:- When Navid joined Chronis, they wanted him to get the answers to an upcoming test but he said that it was unethical and refused to do it.
Congress Personal Staff:
Constance Tate Duncan (Adrianna’s mom)
- Constance worked as her daughter's assistant. She booked Adrianna's auditions and acting jobs.
House Committee on ethics
- small group of representatives who interpret and enforce the House’s ethics rules (gifts, travel, financial disclosures and training)
Filibuster
- When one or more members of parliament or congress debate over a proposed piece of legislation so much that they delay or entirely prevent a decision being made on the proposal.
Legislative assistant
- Works for a congressman/woman, conducts research, and drafts legislation/laws, gives advice and makes recommendations
Joint committee
- Made up of members from both the House and the Senate. They are set up to conduct business between the houses and to help focus public attention on major issues.
Lobbyists
- people who try to persuade members of congress and attempt to influence their decisions and policies (usually may have been in government before and have lots of friends in congress)
Session
-When members of Congress have meetings.
Bicameral legislature
- legislators are divided into two separate assemblies or houses (like Senate + House of Representatives in the US and in every state)
Congressional Committee Staff -
a person who works for either majority or minority congressional members of the committee
Whips and Majority leader:
Naomi Clark-
Naomi Clark is extremely well known to plan the best parties. Even though Naomi is known to be a mean popular girl, she also speaks up for what she believes in, therefore she represents many people.
Standing Committee
- A Permanent committee created by the House of Representatives that meets regularly
Standing Committee:
Naomi, Annie, Adriana, Silver, Navid, Liam, Dixon, and Teddy are always apart of the friend group at West Bev.
Whips
- They gather votes on major issues from Congressmen/women of their own party. (coordinates parties)
Majority leader
- act as chief spokespersons and strategists for their parties.
Congress Personal Staff
- works for Congress member and helps them do their job (research, scheduling, day-to-day operations like answering phones, emails, responding to the media, etc.)
