Marcus has an intimidating presence. Always serious, he appears to be constantly assessing his surroundings with an unwavering intensity behind his glare.
Typical Responses
Marcus never seems surprised by anything he learns. He appears to just take in and consider then information. On the rare occasion he is startled, his intensity drops into a slight panic for a moment before it returns alongside a disgruntled expression.
Confidence
Marcus is always certain that what he's doing is the right thing, despite acknowledging his ignorance to local customs. If there's a situation in which his actions are criticized, Marcus will stubbornly explain his reasoning behind his actions. Marcus always does what he wants to do without second thoughts. This is a major downfall of his character.

After devoting his whole life to becoming a master of the Ki-Vorn style of unarmed combat, Marcus is an extremely vicious and fearsome fighter. He chains together bone-shattering strikes at a pace that has the potential to overwhelm even the most experienced opponents.
His defence is equally strong. Marcus's intense focus allows him to identify threats and deal with them accordingly. Despite his large size, he is surprisingly nimble and capably dodges inaccurate attacks. When left with little chance to evade, Marcus blocks attacks using his own body in a specific way that will minimize long-term / serious injury.
Discernment
Despite his "slowness" when it comes to understanding social and cultural cues, Marcus is quick to comprehend his opponent's fighting style and abilities in combat. He may not understand what exactly is happening but he will quickly figure out the best course of action when dealing with opponents.
The Seed's Blessing
Touching "The Seed", the idol of worship for the Ki-Vorn, has blessed Marcus with an ability of monumental power. Each time Marcus kills another human, he takes that person's lifeforce / magic. When this happens, Marcus begins to generate additional magic identical to the victim's own. As he becomes able to generate their magic, he gains any unique abilities they had.
The amount of magic Marcus generates for each victim is not unlimited, but the amount he produces is still significant enough to allow him to use each victim's abilities multiple times each fight.
He also becomes physically stronger. His attacks become even stronger and his body even tougher with each killed opponent.

Serlan
Marcus meets Serlan shortly after arriving in "the land" (don't have a name yet). Serlan sits comfortably in a tree, seemingly waiting for Marcus to show up. Marcus initially orders Serlan to answer his questions but Serlan eventually suggests travelling together. Marcus decides to prove Serlan's worth and challenges him to a sparring match. Serlan readies himself, his signature gust of wind ejecting out and adopting a casual stance while drawing his dueling sword. The match is intense and they both dodge each other's attacks just as quick as they throw them. Despite the intensity, it seems neither side is giving it their all. Marcus recognizes Serlan's strength and allows Serlan to act as his guide.

Sophia
After being commissioned for an S-rank bounty, Rovarn also requests for Marcus and Serlan to take any two guild members with them. While Marcus picks a tough-looking woman clad in armour, Serlan picks a petite lady dressed in a beautiful robe. Marcus becomes extremely annoyed at Serlan for picking Sophia, loudly protesting against such a frail person travel with them. Serlan remains adamant that Sophia's the right choice but she's now more shy and withdrawn when dealing with Marcus. Marcus is very apparently frustrated whenever he is reminded that Sophia has joined the group.
