Hardware : The physical components of a computer system that you can see and touch.

Device : a hardware component of a computer system consisting of electronic components
Storage Device : a device used to store data onto a storage medium
Input Device : a device that allows data to be entered into computer system
Volatile : data is lost when there is no power
Non-Volatile : data remains when there is no power.
User interference : communication between the user and the computer system
Operation System : an operating system manages hardware by carrying out tasks such as
- allocating memory to software
- sending data instructions to output devices
Utility Software : is system software that performs some sort of maintenance on the computer system
Data compression : Data compression utilities will reduce the original size of files so that they use up less storage space.
Backup Utilities : they create a second copy of data and programs that are in storage
