After Pip's Frightning introduction to Magwitch, Magwitch was a person who haunted the wost nightmares of a shallow minded little boy (Pip)
Part II: The "Gentleman"
There is a time of silence throught Part II: Growth Begins, which lasts until Pip is a "Gentleman" in Part III: The "Gentleman", but wenever Pip remembers him, it is with the same attitude of horror that he had felt as a boy. He thought of Magwitch as a crimminal.
N.B.: Magwitch was a crimminal, but when he is enters the story line again in Part III: The "Gentleman", he is a changed man, but still has a price on his head in England.
