6 STEPS PROCESS
STEP 1: Problem Definition (how to)
- brief problem background
- who owns problem
- what has been tried
- what is ideal solution
STEP 2: Goal Wishing
- encourage free thought & helpful attitude
- PSG asked to contribute wishes for client
- objective: generate creative, useful & appealing suggestions for problem resolutions
STEP 3: Selection
- F ask C if any one/two wishes are interesting/ worth working on further
- chosen wish is listed
STEP 4: Itemized Response
- F inform PSG an open-minded evaluation is to be conducted
- benefits & concerns abt suggestion are generated
- advantages listed as ++ concerns listed as how to's
- C select most troublesome concerns
- PSG will explore how to overcome concern
STEP 5: Overcoming Concerns
- C select most troublesome concerns
- PSG & C will discuss how to overcome concern
- repeat process until C confident that concern have been adequately dealt with
STEP 6: Next Steps
- work required to operationalize suggestion
- defining solution - develop concrete startegies & sub-objectives for achieving, describe specific final end-state
FINAL OUTCOME:
- how solution look like
- what it will do & capable of
- when will it arrive & be implemented
- who will use it & benefit from it
- how things are affected by solution
- how solution be evaluated
C should be happy with final solution
- hv firm understanding of next steps to be taken for imlementing solution
