Types of Observation
Participant observation
The most important method of ethnography is that of participant observation, which in practice tends to be a combination of methods, or rather a style of research.

Spaces and Subject
A detailed description of the scenario and the position of the people in their bosom provides important apprehensions on the nature of the activities of the participants, their patterns of interaction, their perspectives and ways of presenting themselves to others.

Gestures, non-verbal communications, the tone of voice and the speed of people's discourse help to interpret the meaning of their words.
Intervening dimensions
These subjective comments must be clearly distinguished from descriptive data through the use of parentheses and the initials "O.C." (Observer comments).
