I have an interest in animals
I may show favouritism towards particular animals, but this is good as some animals would need to be excluded anyway so that the book would be smaller
Do not need to go into great detail, but some may need an explaination
Narrower scope
Narrower scope enables me to research in greater depth
May not find enough information on certain animals but these do not need to be included.
As I do not study biology, I am unlikely to discuss anything on any of my syllabi
Will require less research on some different animals and the writing of small fact bubbles.
Books on animals in the non-fiction section
Can ask librarian to order in any books that are missing
Can go to different libraries
Many different websites/online journals that I can view. journals funded by the government make their findings available, others charge a fee for viewing
Not all information found online can be trusted, will need to evaluate the source to see if it is trustworthy enough to be included.
Probably not necessary, yet may be used if they know interesting facts
My Grandma used to teach biology so she could help, however I should do most of my research elsewhere
Could speak to experts but would have to find them, not a viable option. on the other hand, interviews with experts would fit nicely into the book.
Online documentaries could be available on some topics
I know a few things so I will not need to rely so heavily upon research, however many things will still need to be researched
As there are no key examples of evaluation, This does not fit the criteria
Links between different animals would help the book to flow and create a sense of structure.
Analyse each source to check how trustworthy it is
With each fact that I encounter, I must look at it with a critical eye so as to decide if it is accurate or the writer is trustworthy
Will need to be able to design pop-ups for the animals so will need an ulderstanding of their shape
No key examples of evaluation.
Could ask some factual questions to supervisor during meetings but should rely on other sources of information.
