Study on water usage GabijaV.
Although water occupies more than 70 percent of the Earth's surface, many countries in the world face drinking water shortages.
Lithuanians do not need to save water, because our country is one of the few countries in the world that has large freshwater groundwater reserves.
Our water supplies are almost seven times higher than consumed
Having large reserves of fresh groundwater and exporting them to other countries, in the future, Lithuania could receive high revenues for water.
Products produced in Lithuania are exported to Latvia, Estonia, Russia, England, Ireland, USA and Cyprus.
Despite the fact that water on the Earth takes more space than land, urbanization, waste, industrial pollution, and now climate change has become a threat to this resource.
Centralized water is better than a well
Lithuania is one of the few European countries where only groundwater is used for centralized water supply.
The depth of the well usually reaches 30-50 meters, and water from the Klaipėda region is taken from the depth of 250 meters.

Groundwater is a huge natural resource. They are used in the home, in industry, in agriculture.
Soil waters. They are not closest to the surface of the earth and do not form a continuous layer.
Interlayer, or artezoid, waters. These are groundwater between two waterproof layers of rock.
Groundwater. It is groundwater, accumulated below groundwater, above the surface of the first non-water-bearing rock.
Mineral waters. Underground water, penetrating deeper layers, dissolves various mineral and organic materials.
Interlayer, or artezoid, waters. These are groundwater between two waterproof layers of rock.
In Lithuania, water is still repeated for the wake of the forest
water is used for food production
